Summer Update

The craft fair went alright...unfortunately the weather didn't cooperate which was a bit of a bummer.  But it was a good experience to see what images are most popular, how to best display my cards and prints, and to get an idea of who my customers are.  I'm thinking less prints and more wood panels, coasters and of course cards.

One of these days I'm going to get into making linocuts.  I always enjoyed making these in my art classes and I think it might be a good alternative to the monoprint cards I was trying to make earlier.

RamonaRode has taken a backseat since the fair because I started a month long full time job.  In August, I hope to get things rolling again (next craft fair is August 21 & 22 in Lynn Valley Library Square).

P.S. The theme at school this week was Inuit so today I had my students make soap cravings they turned out so well!  I'll take a picture on Monday.  We used Ivory soap bars (Dial soap does not work as well...it's not soft enough), toothpics, and plastic knives...so so simple :)

I'm liking this artist: Amos Ferguson
